Coming soon…World Book Night 2016

World Book Night (WBN) is celebrated on the 23rd April which is Shakespeare’s birth and death day and also St George’s Day. This year it falls on a Saturday and although DCH Library is unstaffed at the weekends we will be celebrating WBN in style on the Friday before! We have again been successful in our application to give away free books courtesy of the Reading Agency so on Friday 22nd April we will be visiting wards and departments (in Shakespearean garb, forsooth!), giving away copies of the following:

Someone Else’s Skin by Sarah Hilary

Now You See Me by Sharon Bolton

Band of Brothers by Stephen E. Ambrose

World Book Night is a great opportunity for us to reach out to those who don’t normally read for pleasure so if you or somebody you know would like a copy do pop down to the Library on Friday 22nd April to receive a copy, and if you have time, stay for a cuppa and a cake!
